Ketoacidosis:

Emergency Treatment of diabetic ketoacidosis includes the intravenous administration of fluid, electrolytes, and insulin, usually in a hospital intensive care unit.

Replacing about 6-7 liters of fluid for a person in diabetic ketoacidosis can be done to fight dehydration and for infections antibiotics are given.

A prompt treatment can assure to minimize the abnormal blood sugar levels, ketone production, acidosis and dehydration.
